Product Flow Coordinator F/T & P/T

Position Purpose

Under the direction of the Store Coordinator - Merchandising, the Product Flow Coordinator (PFC) is responsible for performing tasks related to receiving donated merchandise, and sorting it to its appropriate area for processing. In addition the PFC is responsible for stocking merchandise to the floor after it has been processed.

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-exempt

Reports to:  Store Coordinator - Merchandising 

Essential Functions

  • Handles receipt of donated merchandise ensuring excellent customer service in the drop off area;
  • Sorts donated merchandise by category for processing;
  • Stocks processed merchandise on to the sales floor;
  • Loads and unloads Revivals donation trucks and assist with unloading deliveries of new product as needed;
  • Assists with store displays as needed;
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the sales floor dusting, sweeping and vacuuming as needed;
  • Identifies product needs on the sales floor-communicate to the Warehouse Manager or Lead Warehouse Assistant (Palm Springs location) or  Store Coordinator - Merchandising (Cathedral City and Palm Desert locations);
  • Greets customers when on sales floor;
  • Interacts with customers answering any questions they have;
  • Assists with customer requests;
  • Flexibility in schedule, weekends and holidays are required;
  • Cleans warehouse and restrooms as assigned;
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Graduate from a high school, or possession of a certificate of proficiency issued by the California State Board of Education, or possession of a G.E.D. certificate;
  • Basic mathematical skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and calculating percentages;
  • Minimum 1 year dispatch and customer service experience;
  • High level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and web based email applications;
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience/knowledge of thrift store environment;
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), interpersonal and team-oriented skills;
  • Self-starting, self-motivating mindset;
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail;
  • Basic mathematical skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and calculating percentages;
  • Bilingual/bicultural.

Working Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a store set and requires constant times of sitting, standing, walking and repetitive motion. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Potential exposure for hazard materials, irritants, allergens and noise. Exposure to extreme hot and cold.
