Supply Chain Associate - PART TIME!

Job Title:  Supply Chain Associate

Position Purpose

Under general direction of the Director of Retail, the Supply Chain Associate maintains in stock on supplies needed to support the Revivals organization. The Supply Chain Associate orders product, receives product, fills supply orders, and distributes appropriately to the stores.

Job Type: Part time

FLSA Status:  Hourly, Non-exempt

Reports to:  Director of Retail

Essential Functions

  • Maintains supply inventory; verifies inventory levels by checking shelves, notifies supervisor as to replacement needs or places orders as appropriate;
  • Orders, receives, and stores supplies in warehouse or supply room;
  • Reviews incoming order forms for proper coding, quantities requested, and authorized approvals; inspects and verifies supplies received against invoice and packing slip; initiates requests for vendor corrections;
  • Locates stock and delivers requested items to authorized departments;
  • Contacts approved vendors to reorder routine supplies; processes paperwork related to supply requests, including small purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and check requests;
  • May maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) associated with purchases of chemical products;
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and positive rapport with vendors;
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices;
  • Performs clerical duties related to maintaining stock inventories and stockroom; may operate a computer terminal and/or personal computer;
  • May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work;
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Graduate from a high school, or possession of a certificate of proficiency issued by the California State Board of Education, or possession of a G.E.D. certificate;
  • 2 years prior retail experience;
  • 2 years prior supervisory experience preferably in a retail setting;
  • High level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, web based email applications required; Quickbooks experience preferred;
  • Flexibility in schedule, weekends and holidays are required;
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), interpersonal and team-oriented skills;
  • Self-starting, self-motivating mind-set;
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail;
  • Basic mathematical skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and calculating percentages;
  • Bilingual/bicultural preferred.

Working Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a store set and requires constant times of sitting, standing, walking and repetitive motion. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Potential exposure to hazard materials, irritants and allergens and noise. No direct patient contact under normal circumstances is required. No exposure involvement to blood, body fluids, non-intact skin or tissue specimens required and no access to patient protected health information.

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds;
  • Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals;
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
